Lonavala is a city and a hill station city in Pune district
of Maharashtra. It is about 96 km from the city of Mumbai. It is known for the
production of hard candy and it is also a big stop on the railway line
connecting Mumbai and Pune. From the Pune purlieus, local trains are accessible
from Pune Junction. Both Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Mumbai-Chennai Highway pass
through Lonavala. At this time Lonavala was a part of the Yadava dynasty.
Lonavala and Khandala attached are 622 meters hill stations from the sea level,
which are in the Sahyadri ranges, which set the boundaries of Deccan Plateau
and Konkan coast. During the monsoon season, people visit the tourism peak from

The name of Lonavala is taken from Sanskrit Lonavala, which

Malik Ahmad near the village of Karjat and was known for its natural strength.
The Andharban trek begins from village Pimpri, passes through dense forests,
valleys, and waterfalls, and ends in Bhira.
The distance from Lonavala to Mumbai is about 82 km and can
be covered in less than 2 hours by a reliable cab. The road to Lonavala is as
